Children from Zambia's Capital Lusaka took on parliamentarians in debating aspects of the national budget on Tuesday 21st November 2016. The children were particularly focused on those issues concerning children, as part of launching the Every Last Child Campaign and the UNCRC General Comment on public budgeting for the realisation of children’s rights in Zambia.
Last week, Save the Children celebrated Day of the African Child with children from Fountain of Hope. This year's theme is "A child friendly, quality, free and compulsory education for all children in Africa." The children also received blankets and books from Lubuto Library. The children sang very well, presented poems and plays and were such a marvel to watch.
