16 Days of Activism for the African child for an Africa Fit for Children
Save the Children with partners run a 16 days of activism for the African child under the theme "An Africa Fit for Children".
Over 500 children were mobilised across the country through provincial children’s symposiums held between 1st and 16th June. The children and young people co-facilitated discussions on the various themes assigned to each province. Each province was given one aspiration as a theme of discussion. The resolutions from these fruitful discussions were shared with the rest of the country through a virtual national symposium aired on television. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the symposiums were held in line with public health guidelines. On the 16th of June, the children presented their views through a national children’s symposium that was broadcast live on national TV. The national symposium was moderated by a child campaigner Mundia. Link to Children’s symposium: https://web.facebook.com/273812309715103/videos/323059372753410
